We are looking for an Engineering Program Manager to lead an engineering product team, ensuring successful product development and effective communication among all stakeholders. You will manage the technology product development life cycle - from idea generation and validation to product launch and production support. Your role will cover key areas: technology, team, product, and process.

Key Responsibilities
Product Lifecycle Management
  • Own the end‑to‑end technology lifecycle of assigned products, from concept through end of life.
  • Define and maintain product roadmaps, release plans, and success metrics.
  • Develop a deep domain understanding and employ data‑driven decision making in product planning, scope decisions, tradeoff discussions and more.
Product Planning & Prioritization
  • Collaborate with Product Management and other parts of the business to define development priorities, ensuring alignment between business objectives, customer needs, technical strategy, and engineering execution.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable product and engineering initiatives.
  • Manage product backlogs and prioritize work, balancing product strategy, technical needs, and delivery capacity.
  • When a dedicated Product Manager is not assigned, perform core Product Management activities, including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap development, and business value assessment.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Architects, Product Managers, Manufacturing and other stakeholders to deliver successful product outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross‑team efforts, manage dependencies, and resolve delivery risks and impediments.
  • Facilitate communication and decision‑making across technical and business functions.
Delivery & Release Oversight:
  • Assemble a development team of engineers from required engineering disciplines (e.g. radio communication, navigation, autonomy); support and motivate the team, providing a comfortable working environment.
  • Oversee on‑time product delivery, release readiness, and launch activities employing appropriate project methodologies (usually a mix of Waterfall and Scrum) and adhering the the team’s best practices and process requirements.
  • Communicate status, risks and progress to leadership; know when to elevate.
  • Monitor product performance, quality, adoption, and operational health.
  • Drive continuous improvement through product reviews, metrics, and feedback.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Technical education - preferably in avionics, electronics, mechatronics, radio engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience and understanding of hardware product development and design.
  • Experience managing technical teams, including task allocation, resource planning, and performance monitoring.
  • An understanding of typical challenges faced by developers at different stages of product creation.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
