Job summary

Wärtsilä is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain product configurators used in our quotation management system (QMS). The role is part of the Sales Tools team and requires collaboration with sales engineering and product management to keep configurators up to date.

Preferred location is Drunen, The Netherlands, with Helsinki and Vaasa in Finland also negotiable. We offer a hybrid work arrangement and a culture that values growth, ownership and responsible innovation.

Qualifications

• Good to excellent skills in HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
• A good understanding of C# and .NET.
• A good understanding of SQL.
• A good understanding of GIT.
• Previous knowledge of propulsion products.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Excellent teamworking skills.
• Any previous experience with product configurators and Quotation Management Systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain product configurators used in QMS.
• Keep product configuration data and costing up to date.
• Collaborate with sales engineering team and assist them in case of technical issues.
• Keep an active dialogue with product mgmt. to ensure product configurators are up to date.
• Develop and maintain other smaller applications used within the Sales Tools team.

We are looking for a Software Engineer with a main responsibility in developing and maintaining product configurators. The preferred location for this position is Drunen,The Netherlands but also Helsinki & Vaasa, Finland are negotiable. We offer a possibility to hybrid work.

Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Software engineer your work will include developing and maintaining product configurators that are used in our quotation management system (QMS) When Wärtsilä Marine newbuild products are offered. You will also assist in keeping related product configurator data and product cost updated in the system. You’ll be working as a part of an agile and goal-driven Sales Tools team with diverse expertise.

Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain product configurators used in QMS
• Keep product configuration data and costing up to date
• Collaborate with sales engineering team and assist them in case of technical issues
• Keep an active dialogue with product mgmt. to ensure product configurators are up to date
• Develop and maintain other smaller applications used within the Sales Tools team

To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:
