University of Vaasa invites applications for two positions: Project Researcher (PhD Student) or Postdoctoral Researcher in Electricity Markets and Flexibility (Electrical Engineering). Vaasa, Finland. Fixed-term for three years.

International research team and collaboration with industry stakeholders. Emphasis on high-quality research outputs and academic publications. Two themes available: market design (Theme A) or data-centre flexibility (Theme B); doctoral track for Project Researcher path

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field and strong research potential.
• Proven ability to conduct quantitative and analytical research.
• Experience with programming or modelling in energy systems.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to project activities and independent research.
• Develop and apply quantitative models of electricity markets.
• Publish high-quality scientific papers in journals.
• Collaborate with national and international stakeholders.
