Job summary

Cathcart Technology is seeking an Embedded Software Developer for a freelance assignment in Finland, with hybrid remote work and periodic on-site testing in Turku, Raisio, or Tampere. The role focuses on CODESYS-based control logic, C/C++ applications, and hardware integrations.

The contract runs 3–4 months, starting Sep/Oct 2026, with a strong possibility of extension. English is the working language, Finnish helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with CODESYS development and PLC logic.
• Background in embedded or industrial control systems is highly valued.
• Proficiency in C or C++ is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update control system applications using CODESYS.
• Create software layers for new hardware modules (EPEC).
• Work with C/C++ alongside CODESYS control logic and integrations.
