Job summary

Septentrio is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, implement, integrate and validate high-accuracy GNSS software for embedded platforms and RTOS/Linux environments.

You will focus on C++ development, embedded systems fundamentals, and reliable integration of software components for Septentrio's next-generation positioning solutions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will drive robust production-quality software.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional experience in embedded software engineering in an industrial or product-development context.
• Strong C++ programming skills and understanding of object-oriented design and modular architectures.
• Experience with RTOS, embedded Linux or Linux-based environments, and memory- and CPU-constrained systems.
• Familiarity with development lifecycle tools: issue tracking, source control, CI, design documentation, testing frameworks.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, unit-test, debug, and document embedded software features in C++.
• Develop software for RTOS, embedded Linux, and resource-constrained platforms.
• Collaborate with peers to translate requirements into modular, efficient software.
• Develop tools/interfaces using Qt, Python, JavaScript and related web technologies.
• Contribute to improving development tools, workflows, and documentation practices.
