Kidde Global Solutions is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to develop secure, reliable firmware for wired and wireless security devices. You will work across bare‑metal, RTOS, and Linux embedded environments, interfacing with hardware, cybersecurity, and product teams.

Join a cross‑functional team focused on secure connectivity, firmware updates, and real‑time performance, with relocation support for candidates willing to join our Gdańsk office.

Qualificações

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing firmware for embedded systems.
• Good programming skills in C.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.
• Understanding of bare-metal or RTOS-based embedded development.
• Experience debugging embedded systems using standard development tools.
• Understanding of embedded communication interfaces and protocols.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsabilidades

• Develop firmware for wired and wireless security devices focusing on reliability and performance.
• Implement secure device communication and firmware update mechanisms.
• Optimize device performance, memory usage, power consumption, and reliability.
• Support products that comply with professional security standards (EN50131 Grade 3).
• Contribute to reusable embedded platforms used across multiple product families.
• Collaborate with hardware, cybersecurity, compliance, and product teams throughout the lifecycle.
