Job summary

Swedium Global Services AB is seeking an Embedded Android BSP Engineer to develop, customize, and maintain Android Kernel, BSP, and drivers for embedded platforms.

You will collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams remotely from Finland to optimize performance, security, and power across new platforms and feature upgrades.

Qualifications

• Experience in Android kernel development and BSP integration.
• Proficiency in building and debugging embedded Linux kernels.
• Strong debugging skills with ADB, GDB, and log analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Android Kernel, BSP, and device drivers for embedded Android platforms.
• Integrate and optimize Android middleware components, HAL, and system services for hardware-software interaction.
• Debug and resolve kernel, bootloader, driver, and system-level issues using ADB, GDB, Logcat, and Kernel Trace.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and application teams to bring up new platforms and ensure performance, stability, and power optimization.
• Perform system performance tuning, security enhancements, and software validation while supporting Android platform upgrades and new feature development.

• Develop, customize, and maintain Android Kernel, Board Support Package (BSP), and device drivers for embedded Android platforms.
