Job summary

ICEYE in Espoo is seeking an Electronics Test Engineer to support qualification of satellite hardware and to develop test equipment. You will participate in AIT activities for next-generation satellite platforms and collaborate with the Electronics & RF Test Team on design validation.

The role requires a BSc/MSc in Electronic Engineering and 3+ years in testing, with strong lab skills, data analysis, and a proactive, collaborative mindset in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

Why This Role Matters

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the company's continued growth as we expand our Engineering team. We are looking for an Electronics Test Engineer to join our office in Espoo. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting the qualification of new satellite hardware, developing test equipment, and contributing to the Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) activities for next-generation satellite platforms.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities

• Design qualification plans to validate power, digital, and mixed-signal electronics against design requirements.
• Document test procedures, test results, assembly procedures and all the related documentation for our internal reviews.
• Conduct qualification tests.
• Perform data analysis after test results, conduct root cause analysis on failures, and present results to key stakeholders.
• Provide feedback to designers.
• Design EGSE, data acquisition systems, custom test hardware and software.

Must Haves

• BSc/MSc degree in Electronic Engineering or similar.
• 3+ years of experience in testing, test automation, and electronics.
• Experience as an electronics test engineer and/or electronics design engineer.
• Testing a custom electronics system with a wide variety of lab equipment such as digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, vector signal analyzers, thermal chambers, and others.
• Performing root‑cause analysis on failures.
• A positive attitude and a desire to learn new things.
• Suits well in multicultural environments.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Aerospace industry experience.
• Experience in programming with Python.
• PCB design with Altium or a similar electronics design (EDA) tool.
• Experience with revision control tools (like Git or SVN).
• Hands‑on experience in satellite assembly.
