Job summary

Hitachi Energy Finland Oy is seeking a Product Specialist in Vaasa to lead project-specific electrical design of transformers and reactors. You will participate in tendering and delivery processes for complex designs, with opportunities for professional growth and training.

The ideal candidate holds a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with experience in electrical design, manufacturing, and materials technology, and communicates well in Finnish and English.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with relevant work experience.
• Solid understanding of electrical engineering, manufacturing, and materials technology.
• Able to work systematically and remain calm under pressure.
• Curious, proactive, and self-driven, with the confidence to take initiative and collaborate across functions.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills in Finnish and English, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering and electromagnetic simulation tools is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Deliver economical, electrically and mechanically sound, and optimized electrical design of transformers and reactors.
• Provide electrical designs for tenders and final electrical designs for production.
