Job summary

Metso Oyj in Espoo, Finland seeks a Product Engineering Manager – Electrical to lead the electrical product engineering team for the Stirred Mill product group. You will provide expert support on drive trains and controls, develop standards, and lead on-site commissioning and troubleshooting as required.

You will manage a team of electrical engineers, work to ensure Tier 1 engineering competence, and drive productization efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical engineering and control system design.
Proven leadership of a dynamic engineering team and ability to deliver projects on schedule and budget.

Responsibilities

Act as the manager for the electrical product design and engineering team in the Stirred Mill product group.
Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure Tier 1 engineering competence for drive train and control systems.
Lead R&D and continuous improvement projects in electrical engineering.
Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of electrical and control systems packages.
Own and update electrical engineering standards, design governance, and technical review processes.
Drive harmonization of standards with other Grinding BL electrical departments.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to product strategy and development.
