Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Oulu, Finland, is seeking an Electrical Lead to manage large-scale data centre projects from feasibility through completion. The role focuses on delivering strategic plans, budgets, and robust processes across a complex construction program.

The successful candidate will lead client-facing engagement, coordinate contractors and designers, and actively drive thought leadership in the Data Centre real estate sector while ensuring on-site availability and project governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years’ work experience in construction, including experience in large scale mission critical projects.
• Track record of delivering the construction of hyperscale Data Centre projects ideally from inception to completion.
• Experience of master planning/strategic estate development and capital project planning for business case compilation is desirable.
• Demonstrable experience in client-facing roles at all levels.
• Availability for on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing large-scale and complex data centre projects in the real estate sector, from feasibility, design, construction and completion.
• Developing and implementing project strategies, plans and large-scale budgets on complex construction projects.
• Establishing and maintaining effective processes and systems to be utilised throughout the project.
• Monitoring and reporting on project progress and other performance indicators.
• Managing and mitigating risks and issues.
• Preparing and delivering written project communication materials.
• Preparing and presenting formal project progress and other reports.
• Managing and coordinating the client, contractors and designers.
• Attending and chairing meetings and drafting minutes, etc.
• Other responsibilities include developing and delivering presentation materials for client pitches, etc.; managing and updating key information into the Turner & Townsend internal database; providing thought leadership and insights on the latest trends and innovations in the Data Centre real estate sector.

Education

University Degree in an electrical / construction-related field and / or trade qualification
