Job summary

Etteplan Finland Oy in Tampere is expanding its electrical and automation design team. We are seeking experienced electrical systems designers who are passionate about designing and developing industrial machines and equipment, especially mobile machinery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems and harnesses for mobile industrial machines.
• Design powertrain electrical aspects, battery tech, power electronics sizing for mobile machines.
• Conduct functional safety validation and analyses of safety functions.
• Perform design testing of device assemblies under development.

Job description

We are growing and strengthening our electrical and automation design department in Tampere. We are looking for experienced electrical systems designers who have a positive attitude, motivation for work, and a passion for designing and developing industrial machines and equipment, especially mobile machinery. The role is based in Tampere. If you have a suitable engineering or master’s degree and are ready to join our team, take the challenge! We value industry experience and prior design experience with wheeled or rail‑bound movable equipment and machines, 3–5 years preferred. Prior experience in vehicle technology is an asset. Success requires good communication skills, customer‑centered service mindset, flexibility demanded by project work, and technical expertise in the field.

Opportunities

Desirable: knowledge of at least one database‑based design tool such as E3 or Eplan Electric P8. The key is willingness and ability to learn new tools and methods even if you are not yet an expert.
