Job summary

Cyient Limited in Finland (Vaasa) seeks a Chief Design Engineer for Electrical CoE to oversee technical project management and delivery across international Power plant and energy storage projects. You will lead a skilled team, ensure quality, schedule, and cost control, interface with customers in automation, and mentor engineers while exploring growth opportunities within a multicultural organization.

You will collaborate with global stakeholders, contribute to tendering and project sales

Qualifications

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Finnish or Swedish.
• Knowledge of HV Substations, Medium Voltage Systems, Low Voltage Systems. Control Systems is an advantage.
• Negotiation skills
• Presentation skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making
• Knowledge of power generation and power grids is an advantage
• Project Management skills is an advantage
• Cost awareness and effectiveness is an advantage

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Chief Design Engineer specializing in the Electrical to join our Plant Engineering unit. This pivotal role involves overseeing technical project management and engineering activities within the Electrical discipline. As a Chief Design Engineer, you will collaborate with colleagues and customers globally, contributing to exciting project deliveries across various industries.
