Job summary

CTS Nordics OY is seeking a motivated Graduate Electrical Engineer to support a major data centre project in Seinäjoki, Finland. You will gain hands-on experience across design coordination, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover while working with Senior Electrical Managers and a broader site engineering team.

The role focuses on practical knowledge of electrical installation, testing and project handover, with opportunities to develop BIM/CAD skills and read engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Graduate-level role; ideally two years of relevant electrical engineering, construction or site-based experience.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schedules; interest in BIM/CAD and technical-document review.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering and administrative support to the Senior Electrical Managers, Electrical Package Managers, Electrical Supervisors, Design Manager and wider engineering team.
• Work with supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, BIM personnel and field engineers to support safe and efficient installation progress.
• Assist with RFIs, technical queries and interface issues, escalating matters that require senior engineering input.
• Assist in reviewing specifications, drawings and design information for scope, compliance, constructability and coordination requirements.
• Support material take-offs, procurement records, delivery tracking and readiness checks for electrical equipment and materials.
• Maintain design-change and field-engineering records, ensuring information is updated and communicated to the relevant team members.
• Support coordination of electrical interfaces with Mechanical, CSA, ICT/ELV, BMS, Fire Protection, Logistics, Design, Procurement and Commissioning teams.
• Update progress trackers covering subcontractor activities, manpower, materials, quality, risks and constraints, and report issues to the package team.
• Support delivery of HV/MV and LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, batteries, busbar, protection, earthing, lighting, metering, controls and ICT/ELV and BMS interfaces.
• Support compliance checks against project HSE requirements, approved design, specifications, Finnish regulations, IEC/EN standards and client requirements.
• Assist with QA/QC inspections, test records, non-conformance tracking and punch-list closure in accordance with approved inspection and test plans.
• Support FAT, SAT, electrical completion, energization readiness, commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing.
• Support test documentation, system turnover, as-built records, O&M manuals, snag closure and final handover.
• Maintain the combined asset register, coordinating updates across project systems and supporting accurate handover information.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with the project asset naming convention, identifying and correcting inconsistencies.
• Maintain cable reference records and support consistent cable identification across drawings, schedules, installation and testing documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Site Engineering & Package Support

• Provide day-to-day engineering and administrative support to the Senior Electrical Managers, Electrical Package Managers, Electrical Supervisors, Design Manager and wider engineering team, including technical coordination, short-term planning and work-area readiness.
• Work with supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, BIM personnel and field engineers to support safe and efficient installation progress.
• Assist with RFIs, technical queries and interface issues, escalating matters that require senior engineering input.

Design, Procurement & Technical Assurance

• Assist in reviewing specifications, drawings and design information for scope, compliance, constructability and coordination requirements.
• Support the review and tracking of technical submittals, shop drawings, equipment schedules, material selections and installation proposals under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support material take-offs, procurement records, delivery tracking and readiness checks for electrical equipment and materials.
• Maintain design-change and field-engineering records, ensuring information is updated and communicated to the relevant team members.

Construction, Interfaces & Reporting

• Support coordination of electrical interfaces with Mechanical, CSA, ICT/ELV, BMS, Fire Protection, Logistics, Design, Procurement and Commissioning teams.

• Organised and detail-focused, with the ability to maintain registers, trackers and technical records accurately.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills, with fluent written and spoken English and a willingness to learn in a site-based environment.

Desirable Criteria

• Academic project experience related to data centres, mission-critical facilities, building services or construction is beneficial.
• Familiarity with electrical testing, commissioning, asset information, cable schedules or handover documentation.
