Job summary

GE Vernova in Tampere, Finland is seeking an Electrical Application Engineer to join our Power Quality team. You will support tender solutions for harmonic filters and reactive power compensation in high/medium voltage contexts, translating customer requirements into technical deliverables for TSOs and renewable energy projects.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, experience with PowerFactory or DIgSILENT and AutoCAD, plus strong communication in English.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience with HV/MV power systems and related equipment is desirable.
Strong ability to translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions and tender documentation.

Responsibilities

Work with harmonic filter and reactive power compensation equipment (capacitors, reactors, resistors) and associated high-voltage gear.
Review RFQs and specifications, translating them into fit-for-purpose technical solutions and tender documentation.
Prepare technical tender proposals and cost estimates aligned with requirements and standards.
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to gather required technical data for high-quality tender submissions.
Contribute to technical reviews and discussions throughout the tendering process, including customer-facing cases where appropriate.
Support cross-functional teams in delivering technically sound tender responses.
