Job summary

GE Vernova in Tampere, Finland, is seeking an Electrical Application Engineer to join our Power Quality team. You will support the development of technically sound tender solutions for harmonic filters and reactive power compensation in transmission and renewable energy projects.

You will work within the Inquiry to Order phase, translating customer RFQs and system data into electrical dimensioning and tender documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Background in power systems, substations, high/medium voltage applications.
Exposure to substation design and primary equipment.
Familiarity with high-/medium-voltage equipment recommended.
Translate technical requirements into practical engineering solutions.
Excellent English; Finnish is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop competitive and compliant tenders for our Power Quality business.
Review RFQs, specs and data to translate into technical solutions and tender documentation.
Prepare technical tender proposals and cost estimates aligned with standards.
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for timely tender submissions.
Contribute to technical reviews and customer discussions throughout the tender process.
