This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EHS Advisor, Health and Safety Advisor, Safety Officer, HSE Advisor, SHEQ Advisor or Environmental Health and Safety professional to support the safe delivery of a technically complex construction project.

Working closely with the EHS Manager, Project Director, Construction Managers, MEP Managers, Package Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors and Client EHS Teams, the successful EHS Advisor will provide practical Health and Safety support across daily site operations.

The role will involve site inspections, RAMS reviews, incident investigations, safety reporting, subcontractor compliance, training coordination and the promotion of positive safety behaviours throughout the project.

The Role - EHS Advisor

As EHS Advisor, you will support the implementation of the project Environmental, Health and Safety Management System while providing day-to-day guidance to construction teams, engineering teams and subcontractors.

The successful EHS Advisor will monitor site activities, identify unsafe conditions, review work methods and support the implementation of effective risk-control measures.

You will work across Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Logistics, Lifting, Commissioning and Energisation activities while ensuring all operations comply with Finnish legislation, company procedures and client requirements.

The EHS Advisor will also support incident investigations, project audits, safety campaigns, performance reporting and the closeout of corrective actions.

  • Monitor compliance with Finnish Occupational Safety legislation, construction regulations and approved project procedures.
  • Provide practical safety advice to Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through regular engagement with site teams and the wider project workforce.
  • Escalate serious hazards, unsafe behaviours and repeated compliance issues to project management.
Site Inspections & Safety Observations
  • Complete regular site inspections across active CSA, Mechanical, Electrical, Logistics and Commissioning work areas.
  • Identify unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviours and opportunities for safety improvement.
  • Record inspection findings and agree corrective actions with the responsible project teams.
  • Monitor the closeout of safety observations, non-conformances, audit findings and client actions.
  • Support behavioural safety programmes, positive interventions and workforce‑engagement initiatives.
RAMS, Permits & High-Risk Activities
  • Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements before construction activities commence.
  • Ensure RAMS are project-specific, technically appropriate and clearly communicated to the workforce.
  • Support permit‑to‑work processes covering hot works, confined spaces, excavations, lifting operations, energisation and other controlled activities.
  • Monitor compliance across work at height, temporary works, heavy equipment movements and electrical activities.
  • Verify that suitable control measures, exclusion zones, emergency arrangements and supervision are maintained.
