Job description

About the role

In this role, you will play a key part in the Parts & Services division of an international industrial organization. Your primary focus is to ensure that service technicians and global customers have accurate, clear, and high-quality technical documentation. You will work as part of a professional team in Tampere, bridging the gap between complex engineering changes and practical field application.

This position is ideal for someone with a technical mindset and a motivation to improve the quality of critical aftermarket information. Whether you are a seasoned professional or a recently graduated talent looking for your first step in the industry, we welcome you to apply! While the role requires regular collaboration at the office in Tampere, remote work options are available according to company policy.

What you’ll get
  • Opportunity to work in a world-leading industrial organization undergoing digital transformation.
  • A front‑row seat to high‑tech heavy machinery and safety‑critical documentation.
  • A supportive environment and thorough onboarding to help you develop into a documentation professional.
Work tasks
  • Develop and maintain service and repair manuals, spare parts manuals (Upgrades/Rebuilds), and other technical product information.
  • Collect and interpret source materials from Engineering and Product Safety teams (e.g., engineering changes and safety updates).
  • Coordinate review cycles with stakeholders, ensuring all feedback is incorporated and version control is maintained.
  • Support global users by ensuring all documentation is usable, fit for purpose, and aligned with internal standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation tools, templates, and ways of working.
We are looking for
  • A relevant educational background (e.g., Engineering, Technical Communication) and a solid understanding of the basics of technical communication.
  • An ability or academic familiarity with interpreting engineering materials and technical data (such as mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems).
  • Previous experience in technical writing or documentation engineering is considered an asset, but gaining familiarity with machinery documentation through your studies or practical training is also a great starting point.
  • An understanding of or interest in modern documentation tools and structured authoring (templates, content reuse, and version control).
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Proficiency in Finnish is considered a significant advantage.
As a person, you are
  • Passionate about documentation: you have a genuine interest in translating complex technical data into clear, user‑friendly instructions.
  • Precise and quality‑oriented: you have a high attention to detail and never compromise on safety or documentation standards.
  • Proactive and autonomous: you take ownership of your tasks, prioritize effectively, and aren’t afraid to ask questions or request missing information from stakeholders.
  • Collaborative: you enjoy working in cross‑functional teams and can communicate effectively with Engineering, Product Safety, and Service departments.

We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome diverse perspectives.
