Bittium seeks a Director of R&D and Technology to lead product development and technology activities within Defence & Security. This executive role blends strategic direction with hands-on leadership across engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-performance systems.

You will drive R&D planning, resource allocation and cross-functional collaboration while advancing AI-enabled capabilities in secure communications. A strong engineering background and proven leadership are essential.

Competenze

• Technical university degree required; preferably M.Sc. in Engineering (electronics/telecommunications/electrical engineering or related).
• Strong leadership in R&D/engineering or product development within a tech-driven org.
• Solid understanding of electronics, embedded systems, hardware and software integration.
• Proven track record turning complex development plans into tangible results with decisive leadership.
• Experience in building R&D organizations, improving processes and driving operational excellence.
• Business and financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting and resource planning.
• Excellent people leadership, communication and collaboration across functions.
