# **Software Engineer, Connectivity (SW)** Are you skilled in software development and want to be in the frontline developing next-generation automation systems? We are looking for a Software Engineer to contribute independently and collaboratively to development of automation connectivity solutions. You will be joining the Automation Platform R&D unit in Valmet’s Automation Solutions Business Area, Tampere, Finland.This is an opportunity to work with cutting-edge software technologies in an organization that embraces modern agile methods, offering a path to grow as a distinguished R&D professional in the dynamic field of automation. ## **Expectations for you*** At least 2 years of hands-on software development experience, preferably with C++* Experience working in automation environments is considered an advantage* It is strong advantage if you have previous experience with automation protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, IEC 60870-5 or IEC61850.* You write clean, maintainable code and value reliability. You understand the importance of robust unit testing. Our solutions are built to operate for decades.* You don’t need to be a DevOps expert, but familiarity with test automation and CI/CD practices is valuable. Experience with tools such as Git, Jenkins, and JIRA is considered a plus.* B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software Engineering or a related field* Strong written and spoken English skills.
