Job summary

UPM Adhesive Materials seeks a Data & Platform Specialist to drive data architecture, governance and reporting. You will collaborate with commercial stakeholders, lead data initiatives, and deliver Power BI insights across the organization.

You will own data modelling, workspace audits, and DevOps delivery sprints while using tools like Collibra, Ellie, and Snowflake. Helsinki or Tampere-based, Finland, with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Strong data and platform engineering background.
• Solid data modeling, analysis and Power BI skills.
• Working knowledge of modern data platforms: Snowflake, DBT, Microsoft Fabric.
• Familiar with governance tools: Collibra, Ellie.
• Interest in AI-driven process reinvention: Foundry, Copilot Studio.
• Good commercial sense and ability to cross from technical teams to business.
• Fast learner and adaptable to new skills.
• Experience across functions and geographies is a plus.
• Project leadership and stakeholder engagement are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to data architecture work and support target-state data platform development.
• Lead data governance execution and embed governance principles across domains (Collibra preferred).
• Guide data teams toward objectives and support cross-functional Data Community meetings.
• Collaborate with commercial stakeholders and take on project leadership responsibilities.
• Audit MyAccess and Power BI workspaces and produce hands-on Power BI reporting.
• Own Information Modelling to relate business entities and master data across systems (Ellie preferred).
• Run delivery sprints with the team in DevOps (Scrum, cadence).

What you will do

• Contribute to data architecture work. Support the organization in developing the target-state data platform and the processes around it
• Run hands-on data governance execution, and set up and embed governance principles and processes across domains (ideally in Collibra)
• Lead data teams toward defined objectives and support data initiatives across the organization. Support the preparation and running of our cross-functional Data Community meetings
• Collaborate closely with commercial stakeholders and progressively take on project leadership responsibilities
• Audit our MyAccess and Power BI workspaces and reports, and produce Power BI reporting hands-on
• Own Information Modelling tasks to support how our business entities and master data relate across systems (ideally with Ellie)
• Run delivery sprints with the team in DevOps (Scrum, delivery cadence)

Who you are

• You have strong data and platform engineering background
• You have a strong technical foundation: data modeling, analysis, and Power BI
• You have gained working knowledge of modern data platforms: Snowflake, DBT, Microsoft Fabric
• You are familiar with documentation and governance tooling: Collibra, Ellie
• You are interested in AI-driven process reinvention: Foundry, Copilot Studio
• You have good commercial sense and the appetite to work beyond technical teams
• You are a fast learner, open to acquiring new skills quickly
• Experience working across functions and geographies is seen as an asset
• Project leadership and stakeholder engagement experience are considered an advantage
