Job summary

UPM Adhesive Materials is seeking a Data & Platform Specialist to help shape our data architecture and governance. The role focuses on building and embedding a robust data platform, driving analytics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams across Helsinki or Tampere.

You will work hands-on with data models, governance tools, and BI reporting to enable business insights. You will lead delivery sprints, engage stakeholders, and support data initiatives that span departments and geographies.

We are now looking for Data & Platform Specialist to join UPM Adhesive Materials. This is a fixed-term position with development track located in Helsinki or Tampere, Finland. What you will do

• Contribute to data architecture work.
• Support the organization in developing the target‑state data platform and the processes around it
• Run hands‑on data governance execution, and set up and embed governance principles and processes across domains (ideally in Collibra)
• Lead data teams toward defined objectives and support data initiatives across the organization.
• Support the preparation and running of our cross‑functional Data Community meetings
• Collaborate closely with commercial stakeholders and progressively take on project leadership responsibilities
• Audit our MyAccess and Power BI workspaces and reports, and produce Power BI reporting hands‑on
• Own Information Modelling tasks to support how our business entities and master data relate across systems (ideally with Ellie)
• Run delivery sprints with the team in DevOps (Scrum, delivery cadence)

Who you are

• You have strong data and platform engineering background
• You have a strong technical foundation: data modeling, analysis, and Power BI
• You have gained working knowledge of modern data platforms: Snowflake, DBT, Microsoft Fabric
• You are familiar with documentation and governance tooling: Collibra, Ellie
• You are interested in AI‑driven process reinvention: Foundry, Copilot Studio
• You have good commercial sense and the appetite to work beyond technical teams
• You are a fast learner, open to acquiring new skills quickly
• Experience working across functions and geographies is seen as an asset
• Project leadership and stakeholder engagement experience are considered an advantage
