Job summary

PE Global seeks an experienced Design Engineer to join the Vaasa project team, coordinating Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP design across the lifecycle of large data centre initiatives in Europe. The role offers full-time permanency on a rotation roster, with no visa sponsorship provided.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelors in Engineering or similar and at least 3 years in design engineering within construction.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or similar discipline.
Minimum 3 years experience in a design engineering role within construction or building services.
Experience with multidisciplinary design teams on construction projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Experience with data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Support development and coordination of design solutions across all project disciplines.
Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders on design-related activities.
Liaise with construction teams to ensure design intent is understood and implemented on site.
Assist in managing RFIs and ensuring timely responses to technical queries.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
