Job summary

Huawei Technologies Oy (Finland) is seeking a senior data center facility engineer to lead design and construction activities for our local data center projects in Helsinki.

You will coordinate electrical, HVAC, fire protection and critical power systems, create design drawings with AutoCAD, and guide subcontractors through pre-sales and delivery phases.

The role requires 5–10 years of data center experience, willingness to travel, and the ability to work in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in data center facility engineering and construction (Electrical, HVAC, ELE, fire protection) and main equipment (MV/LV switchgear, transformer, DG, UPS, battery, busbar, chiller, AHU).
• Experience in pre-sales project support, bidding, and delivery risk management.
• Design according to European and Finland specs and standards for electrical and cooling systems.

Responsibilities

• Support customer communication and pre-sales related to data center facilities; output design drawings and BOQ; assist in cost inquiries and quotations.
• Coordinate subcontractor selection, technical clarifications, and cost rationality with procurement.
• Assist delivery, align project plans with customers and contractors, and support on-site delivery when needed.

Job Responsibilities

1. Support the customer communication and pre-sales project development related to the data center facility of the representative office, guide the solution based on the customer's data center construction plan, output design drawings, subcontracting BOQ, and pre-sales cost inquiry and quotation.
2. Establish data center subcontracting resources in the local market based on project requirements, support procurement departments in subcontractor selection, technical communication and clarification, and evaluate cost rationality.
3. After the contract is signed, support the rep office to quickly set up the delivery project team, align the project plan and technical requirements with the customer, third-party design company, general contractor, and subcontractor, and ensure smooth project delivery. If necessary, support the delivery on site for a long time.

Professional Requirements:

Uptime ATD certificate is preferred.

1. Professional capabilities: Be proficient in data center facility engineering and construction, including Electrical, HVAC, ELE and fire distinguish system , etc.) and main equipment (MV/LV switchgear, transformer, D.G., UPS, battery, busbar, chiller, AHU , etc.)
2. Control capabilities: Have the capabilities of managing and controlling opportunities in pre-sales projects, bidding, delivery assurance in post-sales projects, and risk identification.
3. Be proficient in the design, construction European and Finland specifications and standards of the electrical system and cooling system , fire fighting ， etc.
4. Proficient in using professional drawing software such as AutoCAD.
5. Be willing and enthusiastic to join Huawei DC service team, challenge yourself, have a strong sense of achievement and anti-pressure ability, and be adaptable to frequent business trips or working abroad.
6. Five to Ten years'Work experience in a data center design institute or consulting company is highly preferred
7. Be able to design data center concepts and solutions.
