Job summary

Google is hiring a Data Center Electrical Engineer to support the design, delivery and commissioning of electrical infrastructure for our data centers in Finland. The role is onsite full-time, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and vendors to deliver safe, reliable power systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical distribution, HV/MV substations and data center power management, with experience in commissioning and operational readiness across complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
• Experience in electrical infrastructure and data center systems.

Responsibilities

• Define data center system-level, product architecture, and R&D, while developing operations and maintenance procedures for systems/processes.
• Participate in selection and onboarding of contractors/vendors; act as electrical SME in Data Center Engineering.
• Contribute to Health, Safety and Environment plans related to electrical scope and compliance.
• Contribute to and review Quality and Commissioning Plans; support FAT and on/offsite commissioning.
• Provide technical leadership to projects; optimize design, scope, schedule, quality, commissioning and safety.
