Spencer Ogden is seeking a CSA Engineer to join the site delivery team on a major data centre construction project in Finland. You will own civil, structural and architectural works, coordinating subcontractors, resolving technical issues and ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence on site.

The role requires a degree in Civil Engineering and 3–8 years’ experience in engineering or construction delivery.

• Solid understanding of construction drawings, quality control and subcontractor coordination.
• Ability to identify issues, solve problems and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced site environment.

Responsabilités

• Inspect civil, structural and architectural works, ensuring quality standards and approved drawings are followed.
• Coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress and help ensure works are delivered on programme.
• Manage snagging, defects, quality observations and close-out activities.
• Review technical drawings, identify discrepancies and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Coordinate RFIs, technical submittals, progress reports and project documentation.
• Work closely with construction, quality and engineering teams to maintain high standards of health, safety and site management.
• Participate in daily planning, coordination meetings and look-ahead reviews to ensure upcoming works are properly resourced and delivered efficiently.

We are working with a leading European data centre delivery specialist, delivering some of the most complex, large-scale digital infrastructure projects across Europe.

With data centre demand continuing to accelerate, the business is expanding its project teams to support the delivery of major developments. This is an opportunity to join a team at the heart of construction, working alongside experienced engineers, construction managers and specialist subcontractors to bring critical infrastructure projects to life.

Based in Finland, you’ll be part of a collaborative, delivery-focused environment where quality, safety and teamwork are central to everything the project does.

Your new role

You will join the site delivery team as a CSA Engineer, taking ownership of civil, structural and architectural works across a major data centre construction project.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be close to the action, coordinating subcontractors, resolving technical issues and ensuring work is delivered safely, to specification and in line with the project programme.

You won’t simply be inspecting completed works. You’ll help drive progress on site, identify problems before they become delays, and work collaboratively across multiple disciplines to keep the project moving.

You will:

What you'll need to succeed

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Ideally, 3-8 years' experience in engineering or construction delivery.
• Experience in site engineering, consulting, contracting or a combination of these environments.
• A solid understanding of construction drawings, quality control and subcontractor coordination.
• The ability to identify issues, solve problems and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced site environment.
• A proactive, team-focused attitude. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, listens to others and works collaboratively to get the job done.

Data centre experience is not essential. Experience across pharmaceuticals, power, energy, industrial construction, oil and gas or other technically demanding construction environments could be just as relevant.

The priority is finding an engineer with a strong technical foundation, a willingness to learn and the right attitude to contribute to a successful project team.
