Job summary

GerTEK Project Management and Technical Services is seeking a highly experienced Quality Manager to oversee QA/QC for data centre construction projects, from planning through commissioning. You will drive an incident- and injury-free delivery by leading QA teams and implementing robust procedures on site.

The role requires 10+ years in construction QA/QC, engineering or related degrees, and hands-on BIM360 Field knowledge to audit and improve QA controls across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in construction QA/QC.
• Degree in QA/QC, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• Experience delivering large-scale data centre construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe working environment and lead the team to deliver an incident and injury-free project.

• Set up and implement procedures, controls, and systems on site.
• Develop quality plans, manuals, and documents.
• Review specifications to identify inspection and test requirements.

• Coordinate weekly client meetings and QA reporting.
• Manage and publish weekly quality indicators and advise on QA issues.

Gertek is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Manager to lead the successful delivery of data centre construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, from planning and design to construction and commissioning.

Gertek is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Manager to lead the successful delivery of data centre construction projects. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, from planning and design to construction and commissioning, with a focus on delivering an incident and injury-free project.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe working environment and lead the team to deliver an incident and injury-free project.
• Ensure project KPIs are met by continuously auditing QA systems.
• Set up and implement all necessary procedures, controls, and systems on site.
• Develop quality plans, manuals, and documents.
• Review specifications to identify inspection and test requirements.
• Train project personnel in the Contractor's Project QA/QC plan.
• Work with the Client to ensure Quality standards and procedures are implemented against agreed timelines.
• Manage and publish weekly quality indicators and advise on QA issues.
• Coordinate weekly meetings with the client, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Standardize QA reporting, ensuring focus on the right measures.
• Work with package leads to ensure systems are tested and handed over on schedule.
• Perform management of team members and provide performance feedback.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in a similar role within a construction environment.
• Degree in QA/QC, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of delivery of large, high-quality construction projects, including strategic planning and tactical execution.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of motivating individuals and holding team members accountable.
• Relevant IT experience, specifically utilizing Autodesk BIM360 Field software.

Preferred Skills

• Chartered member of CQI, IEI, CIOB, or equivalent.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
• PMP certification.
• Process Improvement: Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or higher).
• Project Management: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent credential.
