Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking a freelance data centre commissioning lead to drive on-site commissioning from planning to handover in Finland. You will work with the main contractor, MEP subs and the client's team to ensure seamless commissioning.

You will coordinate IST handover, witness testing of electrical/mechanical systems, manage punch lists and document handover while reporting progress and risks to the project team. Finnish language is preferred, fluent English required.

Qualifications

• Proven commissioning management on data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in critical facilities.
• Hands-on IST and handover experience.
• On-site work in Finland; Finnish language is an advantage, English required.

The Role

You will lead commissioning on site, from early planning through to handover, working alongside the main contractor, MEP subcontractors and the client's commissioning team.

• Plan and manage the commissioning programme from Level 1 through to Level 5 / IST
• Coordinate MEP subcontractors and vendors during testing and energisation
• Witness and sign off testing of HVAC, cooling, LV/MV, UPS, generators and BMS
• Track punch lists, close out issues and manage commissioning documentation
• Lead integrated systems testing and support client handover
• Report progress and risks to the project team

What We Are Looking For

• Proven commissioning management on data centre or mission-critical projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in critical facilities
• Hands-on experience of IST and handover
• Able to work on site in Finland
• Finnish language is a strong advantage, fluent English is required
• Operating as a freelancer through your own company, or open to contract work
