Job summary

Valmet is seeking Lead Cloud Architecture & Governance to define the enterprise cloud vision across Azure and AWS, lead the Cloud Center of Excellence, and drive secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud platforms globally.

You will partner with security, infrastructure, and business teams, influence senior stakeholders, and shape cloud transformation programs while aligning with Valmet's standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field.
• Extensive cloud architecture and governance experience across Azure and AWS.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide cloud transformation in global organizations.
• Proven success in cloud transformation, migration, and modernization programs.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, governance, and FinOps.
• Leadership experience influencing stakeholders; leading architecture or cloud engineering teams is a plus.
• Experience with hybrid cloud, landing zones, identity services, networking, and modernization.
• Professional cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator, or similar are advantageous.
• Excellent English communication with senior stakeholders and partners.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the enterprise cloud architecture vision and roadmap across Azure and AWS.
• Lead Valmet's Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) ensuring alignment between cloud strategy, architecture, governance, security, and business objectives.
• Govern strategic cloud partners and MSPs, ensuring delivery quality and compliance with architecture standards.
• Provide architectural oversight across cloud initiatives including migrations, modernization programs, and platform standardization.
• Partner with security, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure secure, compliant, and scalable solutions.
• Establish cloud financial governance and FinOps practices to maximize value and cost efficiency.
