Job summary

SEB is seeking a data and analytics engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will contribute to ingestion, orchestration, transformation, and monitoring while improving data quality and governance across the platform.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in agile ceremonies, and drive CI/CD and automation enhancements to enable faster, reliable data products for reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in software or data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience building and maintaining scalable data pipelines.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (preferably GCP).
• Experience with orchestration or workflow tools (e.g., Airflow or similar).
• Understanding of modern data architectures (e.g., Data Warehouse, Data Lake).
• Proven experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development workflows.
• A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Experience using LLMs as part of your development workflow, either professionally or through personal projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native data pipelines on GCP.
• Contribute to ingestion, orchestration, transformation, monitoring, and operational improvements.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and maintainability across the platform.
• Develop reusable engineering patterns, CI/CD and automation practices.
• Improve observability and onboarding of new teams onto the platform.
• Collaborate with colleagues in agile ceremonies and PI planning.
