Job summary

Nordic Development Fund (NDF) seeks a Program Manager to originate and manage a portfolio of NDF-financed projects from Helsinki. You will coordinate with project partners and NDF functions to ensure robust financing proposals and successful project execution.

We value expertise in climate finance, development knowledge, and strong collaboration skills, with a willingness to travel and support cross-thematic safeguards and results management.

Qualifications

• University degree in economics, business administration, development, climate and environmental science or similar relevant field.
• A minimum of eight years of relevant experience and at least five years in international development or climate finance.
• Experience building and maintaining partnerships with DFIs, private sector, and knowledge institutions in Nordic countries.

Responsibilities

• Originates and manages a portfolio of NDF-financed projects in collaboration with project partners.
• Prepares financing proposals following internal processes.
• Collaborates with all NDF functions to secure consultations throughout the process.
• Leads project inception after NDF Board approval.
• Liaises with project partners on implementation and completion and related dialogue.
