Job summary

Aiven is seeking a senior automation engineer to own and scale the internal automation platform starting in Finance. You will unify disparate processes into a production-grade platform, enabling automations across procure-to-pay, month-end close, and reconciliation tasks.

You’ll design agents and MCP-based workflows, ensure robust versioned code, and collaborate with NetSuite, billing, and payments teams. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role in a globally distributed company.

Qualifications

• Experience building automation platforms in production environments.
• Ability to map end-to-end finance workflows and automate them.
• Comfort with AI-enabled automation and agent-based architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale the automation platform with observability, retries, and production-grade reliability.
• Build reusable platform primitives for finance workflows and reconciliation tasks.
• Design human-in-the-loop and autonomous agent workflows where beneficial.
• Collaborate with SysOps/Finance to integrate NetSuite, billing, and payments.
