Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finland is seeking a Solutions Architect to work with customers in Finland and the Baltics, guiding cloud adoption and architecture reviews. You will articulate security, cost, performance and reliability considerations and deliver prescriptive guidance to enable business value with AWS.

You will collaborate with account teams, professional services and partners, lead workshops, whiteboard sessions and reference architectures, and mentor others as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Experience in software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
• Working knowledge of software development practices and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall technical relationship between AWS and customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency to accelerate their challenging projects.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
• Build the technical relationship with customers and operate as their trusted advisor. The best interests of the customer will shape the guidance you provide.
• Internally, you will be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features.
• Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching and mentoring others.
• Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to your interests and your customer's outcomes.

Description

This role is within the Finnish organization and you would be working with customers within Finland and the Baltics.

Solutions Architects work hand in hand with customers to help them make the most of the Cloud. They are at the crossroads of business and technology and engage with organizations at all stages of cloud adoption. Solutions Architects are responsible for creating and presenting technical content and sharing best practices.

Solutions Architects are responsible for the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS and make recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency. They work to understand the customer's needs and give prescriptive guidance on how companies can create business value with AWS technology. Solutions Architects lead activities such as architecture reviews, white-boarding sessions, demos and technical workshops. They collaborate with other teams such as account management, professional services, support, product teams and the AWS partner ecosystem.

Key job responsibilities

You will also:

• You will participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. whitepapers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).
• Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching and mentoring others.
• Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to your interests and your customer's outcomes.

A day in the life

You will have the opportunity to work with account managers to help customers accelerate their cloud implementation to modernize their business on AWS. Working with these customers, you will help them transform existing workloads by designing modern target architectures optimized for business agility, innovation, performance, resiliency, cost, security, and more using both native and partner solutions.

Our teams focus on understanding customer key business drivers as well as the existing application architecture(s) to deliver a technical recommendation to the customer with a goal of designing a robust cloud architecture that can scale as their business requires.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloudcomputing,systems engineering, infrastructure, security,networking, data & analytics)
• Working knowledge of software development practices and technologies
• Strong verbal and written communications, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure or software architecture with knowledge in associated technology areas such as databases, networking and security
• Experience in pre-sales engineering or solutions architecture for technology/software sales
• Prior domain experience in enterprise cloud adoption and operating workloads on AWS
• Knowledge of cloud native design patterns, DevOps practices and AWS services
• Experience with AI/ML and AIDLC
• Public speaking experience or passion for creating technical content
• Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent) and/or relevant tech experience
