King’s College School Murcia, part of Inspired Education, is inviting applications for a Year 5 Teacher on a maternity cover basis from early 2026. You will deliver engaging lessons, foster a supportive learning environment and contribute to the school’s vibrant international community.

The successful candidate will hold QTS or equivalent, have primary teaching experience, and demonstrate excellent communication and safeguarding commitment as part of our dedicated Primary School team.

ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College School Murcia is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and inspiring Year 5 Teacher to join our dedicated team on a maternity cover basis from early 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an engaging, challenging and supportive learning environment for pupils in Year 5. You will inspire curiosity, encourage independence and help every child to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and deliver engaging, purposeful and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where pupils feel valued, confident and motivated to learn.
• Monitor, assess and record pupils’ progress, using assessment information to inform future planning and teaching.
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
• Establish high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Primary School to ensure consistency and continuity in teaching and learning.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupils’ progress and wellbeing.
• Contribute to school events, activities and the wider life of the school.
• Promote the school’s values and contribute positively to its vibrant international community.
• Ensure that safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in a Primary school, ideally with experience of Year 5 or a similar age group.
• A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to providing an outstanding learning experience for every child.
• Strong knowledge of effective primary teaching and learning strategies.
• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
