Airbus Defence and Space SAU is offering a 6-month curricular internship in Getafe, Spain, targeting engineering students in their final year. The program runs February to July 2027 with 25 hours per week and a dedicated tutor for ongoing feedback.

The assigned Final Year Project (TFG) focuses on Mission Systems software, automated toolchains, and AI-assisted development. Applicants should know C++, Python, and Linux basics, with a background in engineering.

Job Description:

Ready to join one of our Airbus Programs in Spain?

Airbus offers an internship program aimed at engineering students who are in the last year of their degree with the main objective of acquiring professional skills through the development of a project in the company.

What do we offer? : Internship program + Bachelor`s Degree Final Project (TFG).

Mission: You will prepare a final year training project that will allow you to complete your official studies.

About practical training:

• 6 months of curricular practicum at AIRBUS from February to July 2027.
• Part time: 5h / day - 25 hours per week (8h-13h).
• Tutor assignment for continuous monitoring.

Final project (TFG) to be carried out by the student:

In the scope of the Mission Systems SW it is necessary to provide a state of the art on the development tools used on the SW Development.

Automation of the development environment is important to allow a fast and rapid development of functionality.

The use of AI provides a great opportunity to review all the tools used regarding SW requirements, SW Design, SW Implementation and SW Verification.

The aim of this TFG is to review inclusion of these tools into the Mission Systems SW environment and provide a prototype of one.

The applicant shall also help to disseminate the usage of the develop tool between the team.

The applicant shall have knowledge of High Level Programming languages like C++ and Python, and a basic knowledge of the linux OS usage, including bash scripting.

• Degree in engineering in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• Knowledge of C++ programming is a plus.
• Knowledge of Linux administration and configuration is a plus.
