Airbus Defence and Space SAU is offering a curricular practicum internship in Getafe, Spain, from February to July 2026. The program includes a final year project (TFG) and a 25-hour work week with a tutor for guidance.

You will develop synthetic data for ML and simulation, contribute to aircraft data generation, and work with Airbus simulation tools within a multicultural team. The internship targets students in engineering, requiring strong software development skills, Python knowledge, CAD/3D

AIRBUS offers an internship (curricular practicum) program aimed at students who are in the last year of their degree with the main objective of acquiring professional skills through the development of a project in the company.

What do we offer?

Internship (curricular practicum) program + Bachelor’s Degree Final Project (TFG).

Mission

You will prepare a final year training project that will allow you to complete your official studies.

About practical training

• 6 months of curricular practicum at AIRBUS from February to July 2026
• Part time: 5h / day - 25 hours per week (8h-13h)
• Tutor assignment for continuous monitoring

The Flight and Integration Test Centre mission is to take Airbus designs from virtual concept to complex reality ensuring they surpass the best worldwide standards of safety, robustness and efficiency for our customers.

To deliver complex certified products, operational solutions, test means and support, simulators and customer training in a safe and sustainable way through the synergy of industry leading technologies and the passion of our people.

The proposal is to study the state of the art and develop a prototype to generate synthetic data for machine learning training and simulation.

Main objectives will be:

• External aircraft synthetic data generation
• Avionics symbology synthetic data generation
• Integration with Airbus simulation tools

The desired functionalities will be:

• Automatic aircraft/symbology labeling
• Reconstruction 3D mesh terrain
• Adding ground satellite image
• Adding physics-based sky
• Adding geo-typical 3D buildings
• Adding weather
• Adding camera lens
• Adding cockpit displays symbology
