Yolk Recruitment Ltd in Barcelona is seeking a Senior Workday Solution Architect to shape the end-to-end People & Culture digital ecosystem. The role sits between business and technology, defining the target vision, architecture and implementation strategy across Hire to Retire and Time to Pay.

You will work across Workday and PCC landscape including Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, HCM, Payroll, Learning, Rewards, Performance and Time Tracking.

Formación

• Extensive Workday Solution Architecture experience.
• End-to-end Hire to Retire and Time to Pay expertise.
• Strong knowledge of Workday integrations with third-party ecosystems.
• Experience with regional payroll platforms and broader P&C apps.

Responsabilidades

• Define and maintain the P&C architecture blueprint and roadmap.
• Govern end-to-end system design, integrations and data flows.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Evaluate platforms, middleware, APIs, integration patterns and vendors.
• Guide delivery teams and validate designs throughout implementation.
• Establish standards for data privacy, security, RBAC and compliance.
• Assess Workday releases, AI/ML capabilities and automation opportunities.
• Manage architectural risks and technical debt; drive improvement.
• Communicate decisions to senior P&C, Payroll and IT stakeholders.

Senior Workday Solution Architect - Barcelona

Location: Barcelona, Spain
Role: Senior Workday Solution Architect

We are supporting a global organisation looking for a Senior Workday Solution Architect to shape the future of its end-to-end People & Culture digital ecosystem. This is a senior architecture role sitting between business and technology, responsible for defining the target technical vision, architecture and implementation strategy across Hire to Retire and Time to Pay.

You will work across Workday and the wider P&C landscape, covering areas including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Onboarding, Compensation, HCM, Benefits, Learning, Payroll, Recognition, Rewards, Performance and Time Tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the P&C architecture blueprint and roadmap.
• Govern end-to-end system design, integrations and data flows.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Evaluate platforms, middleware, APIs, integration patterns and vendors.
• Guide delivery teams and validate designs throughout implementation.
• Establish standards for data privacy, security, RBAC and compliance.
• Assess Workday releases, AI/ML capabilities and automation opportunities.
• Manage architectural risks, technical debt and continuous improvement.
• Communicate architecture decisions to senior P&C, Payroll and IT stakeholders.

Requirements

• Extensive Workday Solution Architecture experience.
• Strong end-to-end Hire to Retire and Time to Pay experience.
• Excellent understanding of Workday integrations and third-party ecosystems.
• Experience across wider P&C applications and regional payroll platforms.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, middleware and enterprise integration patterns.
• Understanding of security, privacy, RBAC and data governance.
• Strong strategic thinking, business acumen and stakeholder management.

Desirable: Workday certifications, multinational deployments, enterprise middleware experience and AI/ML or automation exposure.
