Job summary

PQE Group is seeking an experienced Work Package Leader – Black Utilities to drive planning, coordination and monitoring of engineering work packages within projects. The role focuses on black utilities design and installation, including water treatment systems and chillers, ensuring technical, financial and schedule execution.

The initial assignment is based in Tres Cantos (Madrid) for about a year, with potential to move to other Madrid-based projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or technical qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in engineering/project coordination.
• Solid experience with black utilities, such as water treatment systems, chillers and auxiliary utility systems.
• Experience in project planning, cost and schedule control, risk management and change management.
• Fluent/advanced English and Spanish are required.

• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, contractual and project requirements.
• Support project bids and identify potential business opportunities.

We are looking for an experienced Work Package Leader – Black Utilities to lead the planning, coordination and monitoring of assigned work packages within engineering projects.

The successful candidate will have solid experience in the design and installation of black utilities systems, such as water treatment systems, chillers and other auxiliary utility systems, and will be responsible for ensuring the effective technical, financial and schedule execution of their assigned scope.

The first assignment will be based in Tres Cantos (Madrid) for an initial period of approximately one year. Upon completion of the project, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be assigned to other projects based at our Madrid office.

• Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in multidisciplinary and international project environments.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, GMP or industrial projects is a plus.
• Fluent/advanced English and Spanish are required.
• High level of ownership, flexibility and attention to detail.
