Siemens Digital Industries Software is offering a Simulation Engineering Intern / Master Thesis Student position in Barcelona, Spain (on-location, part-time 25 hours/week) for a 6-month window from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027. You will join the Structures & Simulation team to develop virtual sensing methods for wind turbine structures, combining physics-based models with measurements.

• We are seeking master students in relevant engineering or mathematical fields.
• Internship is six months in Spain with on-site working.
• Strong background in structural dynamics and numerical methods preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop virtual sensing methods for wind turbine structures.
• Work with nonlinear reduced-order models and Kalman-filter-based estimation.
• Combine simulation with measurement data for state reconstruction.
• Validate methods using simulated datasets and any available experiments.
• Contribute to advanced simulation workflows for renewable energy.
