Siemens Gamesa in Madrid invites you to join the Loads Modelling Department as an Intern, where you will define and modify wind turbine models for aeroelastic calculations and run simulations under diverse design conditions. You will develop innovative models and mathematics to enhance our modeling capabilities and support design validation in a global renewable energy leader.

The ideal candidate is near completion of a Master’s thesis or PhD in Aeronautics, Mechanical, or Structural

Formación

• Recently completed or nearing completion of a Master’s thesis or PhD in Aeronautics, Mechanical Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
• Knowledge in aerodynamics, structural design, structural dynamics, or control systems.
• Wind energy training, e.g. wind turbine aerodynamics and performance, is a plus.
• Familiarity with wind turbine design standards like IEC61400-1 and DNVGL is advantageous.
• Experience in wind turbine load analysis using programs like GH Bladed, FLEX5, or FAST is a plus.
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Define and modify wind turbine models for accurate aeroelastic calculations.
• Perform simulations in diverse design conditions using aeroelastic codes like BHawC.
• Develop models and mathematical approaches to improve our modeling processes.
• Analyze loads and dynamics of wind turbines to ensure optimal performance.
• Support design validation and collaborate with the organization on modeling physics.
• Research and develop new technologies for wind turbine design and validation.
