Nordex Group in Spain seeks a senior structural engineer to assess and solve tower-related challenges across our wind turbine fleet. You will lead verifications and collaborate with global experts to deliver robust engineering solutions.

The role requires a Master’s in Civil Engineering, FE analysis experience (Ansys/Abaqus), and strong communication in English; knowledge of IEC 61400-6 and Eurocodes is essential. Occasional travel is expected.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
• Strong knowledge of IEC 61400-6, Eurocodes, Model Codes, and DIBt guidelines.
• Experience with finite element analysis (Ansys, Abaqus).
• Understanding of bolted flange connections, pretensioning systems, and fatigue analysis.
• Advanced programming skills—Python is a strong asset.
• Fluent English; German or Spanish are a plus.
• At least 5 years in similar engineering roles.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Foreign qualifications recognized as Spanish equivalents when applying.

Responsabilidades

• Perform structural verifications for concrete and steel structures within tower development projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external experts and suppliers as a technical partner.
• Design and evaluate tubular steel, concrete and hybrid towers and anchor cages.
• Prepare high-quality technical documentation, including reports and calculations.
• Lead root cause analyses for field issues and implement solutions on site.
• Reduce cost of energy and increase productivity in tower development.
• Drive lessons learned and standardize processes where possible.
