Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations in Barcelona to oversee offshore turbine performance from a remote operations center. You will guide commissioning and service activities, coordinating with site teams and engineering experts to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role requires a engineering degree with hands-on wind energy experience, proficiency in SCADA systems, and strong analytical communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on wind turbine/electromechanical systems experience in operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
