Job summary

GE Vernova in Barcelona is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to operate wind assets from a remote operations center. You will monitor turbines, diagnose issues via remote tools, and support commissioning and service phases to ensure reliability.

You will work with site teams to analyze data for faults and trends, driving continuous improvement and robust performance. The role requires travel up to 20% and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
