Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) based in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor turbine performance, diagnose issues remotely, and support commissioning and service activities to ensure offshore wind assets run safely and efficiently.

The role requires strong SCADA expertise, ability to read electrical schematics, and collaboration across engineering teams. Expect travel up to 20% and a rotating weekday shift with on-call weekends/public holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in wind energy sector
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
