Barcelona Supercomputing Center is seeking a Web Developer (RE2) to enhance the Autosubmit workflow manager and its graphical interface. You will join the Autosubmit development team and contribute to software improvements within an Agile framework on HPC platforms.
Required are web programming in JavaScript/ReactJS, CSS, REST and Python, plus Unix/Linux experience. Fluency in English and Git/SVN knowledge are valued assets for collaboration across our international team.

Context And Mission
Within the Computational Earth Sciences group, the Models and Workflows team is looking for a web developer with knowledge and experience in ReactJs to improve the Autosubmit workflow manager Graphical Interface.
Python skills will also be desirable to help develop and maintain Autosubmit.
Autosubmit is a Python-based open-source workflow management system to automate, orchestrate, and monitor complex scientific workflows on Cloud and HPC platforms.
It enables researchers to define and execute workflows composed of multiple interdependent tasks, automatically managing job scheduling, dependencies, data transfers, monitoring, and fault recovery across one or more computing platforms.
Originally developed for climate and Earth system modeling, Autosubmit has become a key component of several large European initiatives, including Destination Earth, TerraDT, EDITO, EO4EU, and operational forecasting and climate services at BSC, where it supports the execution of large-scale numerical simulations and AI-driven workflows.

The selection will be carried out through a competitive examination system ("Concurso-Oposición").
In this phase, technical competencies, knowledge, skills, and professional experience related to the position, as well as the required personal competencies, will be evaluated.
A minimum of 30 points out of 60 must be obtained to be eligible for the position.
The recruitment panel will be composed of at least three people, ensuring at least 25% representation of women.
In accordance with OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for each vacancy at the beginning of the process.
After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will begin the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview.
At a minimum, a personality questionnaire as well as a technical exercise will be conducted during the process.
The panel will make a final decision, and all individuals who participated in the interview phase will receive feedback with details on the acceptance or rejection of their profile.
