Arup in Madrid is seeking a proactive Civil Engineer to join its Water team, contributing to a wide range of national and international water projects. You will work within a multidisciplinary group, designing water infrastructure and supporting project stages from feasibility to detailed design.

You will develop technical expertise in hydraulic and civil engineering, collaborating with local and global teams and mentors to deliver high‑quality outcomes for communities and the environment.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably water infrastructure, drainage, utilities, or flood risk management.
• Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS; hydraulic modelling software like Infoworks, InfoDrainage, EPANET, SewerGEMS, WaterCAD.
• High level of spoken and written English and Spanish.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Motivation to deliver high‑quality work in a multidisciplinary setting.

Responsabilidades

• Support the design of water infrastructure including water supply networks, drainage systems, reservoirs, and flood protection solutions.
• Contribute to different project stages from bids and feasibility studies to concept, schematic, and detailed design.
• Prepare calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications, and other deliverables.
• Assist with hydraulic, hydrological and civil engineering assessments as needed.
• Coordinate with engineers from other disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
• Participate in meetings with colleagues, clients and project stakeholders.
• Develop technical skills through project delivery, mentoring and collaboration with local and international teams.
