Job summary

Blue Earth Capital is seeking a Vice President to join the Private Credit team focused on EMEA. The role offers broad credit exposure across markets, with a primary focus on Africa and investment opportunities in Europe, and flexibility to invest across deal types.

Based in London or Madrid, the position is full-time and hybrid, with responsibilities spanning due diligence, investment recommendations, deal sourcing, and ongoing portfolio management.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in financial services or investment management, preferably Private Credit or Leveraged Finance.
• Strong financial modelling, investment writing and interpersonal skills.
• Experience leading deals from due diligence to execution, with emerging markets exposure.
• Network across investment community to support deal origination.
• Previous line management experience and cross-time zone collaboration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead quantitative and qualitative analysis of prospective investments, including financial modeling and credit risk assessment.
• Develop investment structure and thesis, conduct due diligence, and produce recommendations.
• Lead negotiation and drafting of legal docs, coordinating with counterparties.
• Manage portfolio companies and monitor performance across the investment cycle.
• Contribute to portfolio valuation and strategy for the EMEA department.
• Support deal origination and new product ideas for the private credit platform.
• Perform thematic research on emerging sectors and markets.
