Job summary
S&P Global Ratings is seeking a Sector Lead for EMEA Financial Services/Financial Institutions to guide credit analysis across European banks and related institutions from our Madrid office. You will shape sector narratives, engage with regulators and markets, and mentor a high-impact team driving cross‑regional analytical consistency.
Based in Madrid with international exposure, you will lead research on European banking trends, supervise analytical outcomes, and translate complex developments
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience in credit analysis, financial research, or analytical leadership in financial services.
- Ability to translate complex financial and market developments into concise, evidence-based narratives.
- Experience coaching analytical teams and building sector expertise and judgment.
Responsibilities
- Act as primary analytical spokesperson for Continental European financial institutions with regulators and investors.
- Lead thought-leading research on European banking trends and systemic risk.
- Coach and mentor analysts to strengthen sector expertise and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Lead forward-looking sector analysis translating developments into decision-ready insights.
