Participants will record conversations in a noisy environment, ensuring natural speech. This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable following instructions in English and can work in pairs. A mobile phone or computer with a microphone is necessary for participation.

We are looking for native speakers of Spanish to participate in a short recording project that simulates real-life conversations in noisy environments. The recordings will help improve AI speech technology in diverse acoustic conditions.

Project Overview

Participants will work in pairs to record a 5-minute conversation using our online recording platform (Workbench). The conversation should sound natural and take place in a setting with consistent background noise (e.g. café office or home with TV / music playing).

You will receive clear setup instructions and short training before recording.

Tasks

• Join the projects recording platform via phone.
• Record one conversation (510 minutes) following the provided scenario.
• Maintain clear natural speech without reading from a script.
• Ensure background noise is present but does not overpower speech.
• Avoid overlapping speech and personal data.

Requirements

• Native Spanish speaker (currently living in Spain preferred).
• Quiet but naturally noisy environment (e.g. café park office).
• Mobile phone or computer with microphone and stable internet connection.
• Ability to follow simple recording instructions in English.
• Must complete both roles (Host and Attendee) within the pair.
