Formación

Responsabilidades

  • Provide diagnostic evaluations in clinical pathology.
  • Responsible for gross and/or microscopic examination of specimens and timely preparation of reports.
  • Provide telephone consultations to clients.
  • Consult with and assist other pathologists.
  • Advise and assist laboratory personnel in specimen processing.
  • Participate in quality control programs.
  • Maintain proficiency through continuing education.

As a Clinical Pathologist, your duties involve providing diagnostic evaluations in clinical pathology and offering follow-up consultations. Emphasis is placed on quality, timeliness, customer service, and effective communication skills.

In This Role :

  1. You are responsible for gross and/or microscopic examination of clinical pathology specimens and timely preparation of pathology reports.
  2. You will meet caseload and turnaround expectations.
  3. You are responsible for providing telephone consultations to clients.
  4. You consult with and assist other pathologists to promote collegiality.
  5. You will partner with, advise, and assist laboratory personnel in proper specimen processing techniques and serve as the on-duty pathologist.
  6. You promote IDEXX's growth by participating in pathologist meetings and maintaining professional relationships with clients.
  7. You participate in quality control programs.
  8. You maintain proficiency and develop diagnostic skills through continuing education.
  9. Time may be allocated off routine responsibilities for other professional activities approved by management, aimed at improving IDEXX's function or reputation.

What You Will Need to Succeed :

  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of current topics in clinical veterinary medicine
  • Ability to type and use dictation equipment

CERTIFICATIONS :

  • Board certification in clinical pathology (ECVCP or ACVP preferred)
